• Works with different file types eg. audio, video, type, images

but for this project we're only using type and NO SOUND


NTSC and PAL are video standards ( like, paper sizes for videos)

NTSC-American Standards with 29.9 frames per second
PAL- UK standards awith 25 frames per second

PAL D1/DV widescreen - if you're working with video files
PAL D1/DV widescreen square pixel- if you're working with videos and images


widescreen format = 1050 px x 576 px

yellow text-underlined= appearance of value that can be chnaged

Duration 0:00:00:00 ( hour:minute:second:frame)

adding new layers

Layers:

can create layers on photoshop/illustrator to create competition

or create simple layers on afer effects ( which is what we did today )

A solida layer: like empty layers on photoshop

when creating a new layer : Still images will automatically last for the duration of the project

so, can change the duration



each asset has to occupy its own layer. Can't have 2 on the same layer

Stacking order is the same as photoshop





RAM previews- real time for big files

choose quality of previews (full, half ,etc)
